Overall, I am very pleased with these stands. The bases are a little large, but that does add support for larger satellite speakers. They are somewhat triangular, with the rear section of the base having a small notch in the bottom for the wire to pass out of and be held down by. My speakers are very small, from a SONY HTIB system with wireless rears, so it looks a little much, but whatever. After a while, you aren't noticing them anymore, except by ear, doing exactly what they are supposed to do. The assembly is pretty easy. I had them both put together and speakers attached in 15 mins, including running the wires through the pipes. The stands seem able to accommodate a wide variety of speaker sizes due to the "Slot and Clip" design on the mounting perch. I think you will be pleased with these stands, and the price is right :)

For the price these stands are built like tanks. The base is quite heavy and the support rods are very sturdy. The three leg design of base might let a really heavy speaker become unsteady on thick carpet but that's the only functional issue I can see as a possible problem (although I didn't experience this with my setup). All hardware is included for differnt mounting styles and the wire can be fed through the support rods for a neat install.
Although these probably aren't the sexiest stands out there, they get the job done at a very good price and are built to last.
